Diane’s inspiration comes from living in the Northwest. She captures nature’s essence while suggesting the influence man has on our surroundings. The artwork prompts and invites conversations about our natural world. Her Collagraphs on black paper are relief prints made by recycling cardboard to create the plate. Brayers are used to apply the ink providing variations in color and disparity in each hand rubbed print. Diane pieces maps around her Black and White Drawings and Watercolors with Ink to represent the human imprint on our world. Both her Collagraphs and Ink Drawings with maps have been published in Worldwide Art Books, “International Contemporary Masters XIII” and “Important World Artists”. |
