Sydney Davis is a Pacific Northwest artist whose artwork ranges from abstract pieces to plein air scenes, but regardless of the subject, her work is always colorful, expressive, and inspired by nature. Some pieces are abstracted, versions of nature or a micro-view of the insides of things, such as geodes or flowers. Others are an exaggerated macro-view, much like an aerial photograph of a beach or other landscape. Sydney enjoys plein air painting whenever she can and exploring a variety of other mediums, including fused glass and hand-built ceramic sculpture. Sydney has been an artist her entire life and has shown her work in local, regional, and national shows and venues. She has a degree in Fine Art and Economics from UC Davis and an MBA from the University of Washington. |
