Gregg developed an early love of art through his father who was an artist and taught him to draw and paint as a child. His mom imparted a love of the natural world and beautiful places, and he subsequently developed a passion for photography. Taking beautiful pictures became a passion and allowed him to capture and share beauty during over his many years of traveling on business during a demanding corporate career in the automotive industry. He founded his own photography business (OSP Images, LLC) with his daughter in 2018, and the company donates much of the earnings from their work to conservation nonprofits to protect the natural world. In addition to photography, he continued to paint intermittently over the years and in 2017 discovered the encaustic medium-the ancient art of painting with bee’s wax. He set out to master this interesting and tactile medium. To create his mixed-media art, Gregg bases much of his work on the beautiful subjects he photographs. He uses various media such as acrylics, pastels, digitally created and cyanotype prints, as well as watercolor in combination with encaustic media in his creative process. He aims to produce representational works and abstracts that radiate and express the beauty we find on Our Spectacular Planet! Gregg lives and creates in Fall City, WA.
