Diane’s art continues to be inspired by nature and our northwest surroundings. A strong sense of design and composition brings a unified balance in her representational art with maps and collagraphs and her stitched paper abstracts. Diane’s imagery suggests how man and nature adapt to our ever-changing environment, seasons and climate. The use of maps, dark papers or layering of geometric shapes with strong edges hint at our structural world. Whereas her use of line provides soft movement alluding to the presence of humanity. Diane’s passion for creating started at an early age growing up in Michigan, the Great Lake State. Formal training was in college studying painting and printing, earning her BFA at Michigan State University. Following studies at the University of London, an artist in residency and membership in a local gallery, Diane moved the Northwest. She exhibits regularly in juried shows throughout Western Washington. She is member in good standing with the Stanwood Camano Art Guild, Mt. Si Art Guild, Art Gallery of SnoValley and a signature member of the Puget Sound Group of Northwest Artists. Diane's email: [email protected] Phone: 206 498 2209
