Photography 101: Basic Camera Controls for Intentional Photography
Class is intended for individuals age 16 and up.
Class size is limited to 10 people.
This workshop will be held on Saturday, August 15th from 10AM to 1PM

Move beyond snapshots and start creating photographs with intention. Through in-class demonstrations and hands-on practice, gain the confidence to use your camera's essential controls in a variety of situations, whether photographing landscapes, children, wildlife, or your travel adventures.
Bring a digital SLR, mirrorless or point & shoot camera with controls for aperture and shutter speed. The camera should have a zoom lens or interchangeable lenses. Bring freshly charged camera batteries.

Celebrating the wonder and beauty of the Pacific Northwest through landscape photography and adventure stories.
A lifelong resident of western Washington, I have spent decades exploring the wild landscapes that define this remarkable region—from its rugged coastlines and ancient forests, to its winding rivers and towering mountains. More recently, my photographic journey has expanded to the stark beauty of arctic environments and desert landscapes.
Through my fine art photography, I strive to share my deep appreciation for the Pacific Northwest’s landscapes, natural history, and wildlife. My work celebrates this region as a place of extraordinary beauty and quiet wonder—a place where we can still pause, reconnect, and experience the enduring rhythms of the natural world.
