Designed for all skill levels, this class will guide you step-by-step through Charles’s personal techniques for creating depth, mood, and believable texture in watercolor. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your approach, you’ll leave with new skills—and a finished painting you’ll be proud of.
All materials will be provided and all skill levels welcome.
Artist Statement
I paint to honor the quiet beauty of creation.
Inspired by rural landscapes and the weathered barns of both the Midwest and the Pacific Northwest, I’m drawn to subjects shaped by time and use. In watercolor, I focus on atmosphere, light, and texture—especially the character of aged wood and shifting skies.
My hope is that my work invites viewers to slow down and notice the quiet strength and beauty found in ordinary places.
