Kay Barnes is a nationally recognized watercolor artist and instructor with over thirty five years of teaching experience. She has been in the Pacific Northwest since 1989 and has used the native beauty here to inspire many of her paintings. Waterfalls and cascading water continue to fascinate her.
In this workshop Kay will help students understand how to express rocks, waterfalls and cascading mountain streams using transparent watercolor. Students will use composition, value contrasts, characteristics of pigments, as well as wet into wet and dry brush techniques to suggest the feeling of movement of water. Rocks often challenge artists so we will tackle this as well.
This class is for Beginners, and all other levels, 16 and up.
