Cynthia Faw is a Pacific Northwest artist who works in watercolor, oil and pastels. Her representational paintings evoke quiet interactions with the world around us, embracing seascapes, landscapes and peaceful urban idylls. She devotes her art to celebrating the essential quietude that can be found outdoors. Cynthia received her training in fine arts and architecture at the University of Illinois. Following her retirement from full-time architectural practice, she has studied independently with master painters, further honing her skills as an artist. She is a member of the Northwest Watercolor Society, the Puget Sound Group Northwest Artists and the Mt. Si Artist Guild. She won an honorable mention in the 2024 Small Works Show at the Art Gallery of SnoValley, and has been featured in two one-woman shows in Seattle, WA. Her work has been published in DESTIG magazine and her paintings can be found in many private collections. Cynthia paints and sails in Seattle, WA and Honolulu, Hawaii.
